No offense, but I find it kind of stupid. If your going to lock a topic, it will show that the topic is locked, so why do you need to say 'lock'? I'm just curious.

We usually include a reason alongside "Locked."
Also, it shows who locked it. If a Trick or Basic member had the last post in a topic and it was locked, we'd have no idea who did what. |

And then I get IM messages from random people that say (and I quote)
Wierdo: "OMG IT'S A MOD!!!"
Weirdo: "Did you know that atrick member is a mod?!?!!"
Me: "What the fuck are you talking about?"
Wierdo: "LOOOK! <link to some thread> See <person> looked it!"
Strangly enough my network connection went out just then and I couldn't reply. There is a god!

There's also the issue of knowing who to complain to.
If someone thinks a thread shouldn't have been locked, it's best they know who to contact about it instead of rolling the dice and PMing their least favorite mod.
