DDR was made for universal appeal, like most videogames out there. It's just that it's mostly guys who play it.

I live in the Baltimore area and at Jillians, the closest thing we have to DDR is PIU (the DDR machine is in the movie theater game room, and I think you have to pay to go see a movie before you can use the game room). Besides myself, I've only seen one serious girl player there and all the rest were guys.

I think Girls who play DDR are freaking bad A$$, its just the fact that they play it makes them so awesome. I would try and get a girls number if they are cool and look nice.

I am pretty sure that 25% of the people that play video games are teenage males and 20% or so are teenage females. Not that far off now is it lol

damn I wish I could do that but hey I'll get back on topic. Well...out of my entire school *which is elementary* I'm the only PERSON who plays DDR. Including myself, there's only 2 girls that are actually serious DDR players at the mall I play at. Me and some other chick who's down at the arcade everyday *because her boyfriend works at the theatre* I owe her big time. she's the one who helped me go from basic to trick *it's a bigger jump than trick to maniac in my opinion* neither of us do doubles though. Then again...except for one of my friends who ATTEMPTED to double...i've never seen anyone double around here..ever

That sounds like the way it is around here. I don't think DDR is such a big thing here on the East Coast as it is on the West Coast. There are very few repeat players here on the machines, at least from what I've seen. In Jillians on PIU though, you can usually draw a REALLY good crowd to watch on a Friday night. Not only that, but they are really easy to impress. I was doing a level 3 on Easy mode last night and this big group of black girls was standing around screaming 'YOU GO GIRL!'

I don't actually know any guys who play DDR. Actually, I'm the only one I know that plays somewhat well, LOL! I'm not that great [4-footers.. meh] but I've never gone to an arcade, either. I'm having some friends over today and we might play (bless my soft pads) so perhaps there'll be some new players out there soon...
