I've seen this on another gaming forum, and I believe it can help here for people looking for tournaments and wanting to get advice. But, I wanted to throw out the idea to the mods.

This gaming forum I saw had a sticky (on this board, it'd be an announcement), and it listed tournament representatives plus the tournaments themselves.

For the tournament representatives, it listed their handle, what arcade or region they represented, and a way to get a hold of them. So...as an example...it would be

Northern California
Azn Innovation - Milpitas Golfland, Sunnyvale Golfland/e-mail here/AIM here
The Game II - Various Monterey County arcades/AIM here
The Legend of Milton - Solano Mall Tilt, Suisun Valley Scandia, Milpitas Golfland/e-mail here

Southern California
DJ TRNX - Los Angeles, Anaheim arcades/e-mail here/AIM here
Loogaroo - Ventura County arcades/e-mail here/AIM here
Duel Master Ninzaboro - Irvine Lanes/AIM here

And you can separate them by the different regions already put down on this board.

I believe this can help out the board because, if people see a sticky that says "How to get a hold of someone in your area about a tournament," then they might be more inclined to ask that person about the latest or past tournaments and/or how to run one themselves.

As far as putting the latest tournaments in the same sticky, that's not needed since they're already stickied (I mentioned it earlier, so I thought I'd finish that thought).

Just wanted to get your thoughts on this. I believe it can work on the tournament forum.

I was actually thinking of making a post like this... But it would be hard to determine who would be the people for each region... What if someone just stops playing DDR or takes a break (ala me?)? If you want, we can continue to work on this.

We don't necessarily have to put one person per region/arcade. I'm sure that there isn't going to be just one representative for, say, Milpitas Golfland, because numerous people have held tournaments there.

Having multiple representatives can help. If one person takes a hiauts, then inquiring minds can go to the next person. If they don't get a response about when a tournament is coming, it might motivate them to run a tournament themselves.

I created a thread in the Tournament Forum for this.
