I'm sure that I'm not the only person on these forums who dislikes it when people troll a topic, just because it's "cool." What do I mean by trolling? Something like this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it if something were done about trolls.

Bleh, it's annoying but just get over with. If it's only one poster than it's easy to ignore.

Remember, a lot of people on the internet are quite stupid.

Huh? I don't see the problem in that post. He's saying why he doesn't like Halo 2...

However, trolling *is* a warnable offense, because it is flamebait.

Yeah, it's okay if you do it once or twice cause it's a valid expression of your feelings and it's on topic but if you do it over and over again, then that's where the warnings should come in.

The main problem is differentiating between trolls and dumbfucks. Not that there isn't quite a bit of overlap.

Maybe the solution is just to give warning points to people being dumbfucks, then? People will learn quick if they get points for being stupid, and maybe even think before they post brainlessly next time.

This will cut the DDRFreak population down by about 75%

Neither of those qualities can be irrefutably linked in a hierarchical nature. Let's not make generalizations. I could just as easily say that people who like catgirls are all gay but it would be an unfounded hypothesis.
