Well, my name is Laura, and I live up in Canada. I've played DDR in the arcades maybe 3 or 4 times, and I JUST got it for Ps2. =\ Hearing you people talk about it, you're all major experts compared to me XD. I could not finish a heavy if my life depended on it, so far in the three days I've had it I've just been able to go from a 2 footer to completing a 4-5 on a good day! (Well rested)
I've never been an athlete, I hate sports, but I love DDR. And, with everything I learn to love, I have a huge need to be the best I can be at it. How long did it take for you guys to do heavy? I can't imagine how you even do it!
Oh yeah.... and I'm a complete bar hugger. It's sad, and I'm hoping to get over it, but I can't ;_; any tips? |

I guess it's because in other boards, they encourage you to make your own thread. That's just a theory.

Like previously stated, there's an introductions thread here: http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=66767
I'd definitely post there and say hi to everyone.
Also, if you're not familiar with posting on message boards definitely Read the FAQ. Even if you know how some forums work, I'd still suggest reading from "Things Not To Do on the Forums" to at least "Other Common Questions".
It helps keep you out of trouble, just in case. 
Other than that, enjoy your time here  . Don't worry about your skill level. All of us started out on 1 or 2 Foot songs, it just takes practice to become good!
