Ok, Cutriss (I can't spell) but first i post here from my digi cam of DDR 4thMIX ASIAN version arcade link function

We would like pictures of the arcade machine, please. Not pictures of the arcade link function on the Playstation version of DDR 4th Mix.

We want pictures of the screen on a DDR arcade machine where it says "Insert Coin".

We want pictures of the song selection screen on a DDR arcade machine where it shows the list of songs.

We DO NOT want pictures of any screen or mode from a Playstation version of DDR, and we DO NOT want pictures of any screen of ARCADE LINK mode, which is a separate mode available under the Playstation version of DDR.

We have not seen a screenshot of the screen where it says "This game is only for use in Thailand, Singapore....". A picture of that screen would also be helpful.

I'm not sure why this topic is such a mess...but...I can personally vouch that this version does indeed exist, in Solo form as well.

I have personally played on an Asian Solo 4th (which I didn't know existed either until I played on one and noticed it was all in English), and Konami did make a corresponding 4th Mix 4-panel to follow.

It IS however missing all the Korean songs and probably others that I wasn't paying attention to (just like our favorite version of 3rd Mix), but it does have all the other unlockables, IIRC. There's nothing special about the cabinet and stuff except the marquee/how to play card is in English.

Whether or not a 4th Plus Asian exists is beyond me.

And yes, there are Asian 4th's in the U.S., but very rare to find. Wisconsin had a location that had the Solo 4th Asian a few years back, dunno if they upgraded or sold it yet though.

So, long and short (since I'm having trouble making sense of your post), does it actually have a different songlist from our listed 4th songlist? If so, I guess I'll need those genre-specific screens so that I know what goes where.

Yes, the songlist is different, but only in that it's missing songs, nothing added. As mentioned above, the Korean songs are all missing and probably the other songs vicmar named (Love, Get Up and Dance, Get Up (Before the Night is Over)), although I can't quite remember really making it a point to look for those songs =P

Thanks for the verification "Baka of the Orochi". See.. there is a member who also notice that, oh i remember, we have also DDR Solo 4thMIX ASIAN here in the Philippines in year 2000, but there is no Solo BASS ASIAN or Solo 2000 ASIAN.

See... That's the difference between DDR 4thMIX asian to japanese because of the songs included and legends. DDR 4thMIX japanese has 136 songs in total while DDR 4thMIX ASIAN has only 126 songs, 10 songs missing or not included (The korean license songs like "BU DAM", "SUNG SUK", "TELL ME TELL ME", "BA KKWO", "BYUL", "FACE" and "WA". The other Dancemania license songs like "LOVE", "GET UP -BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER-" and "GET UP AND DANCE")

And take note also those all DDR ASIAN VERSIONS have no "CDTitle" feature (notice that?)

Because of the new legend rules for the color coding of the songs in DDR 4thMIX ASIAN rather than in japanese version, how about just like these:

A blue song comes from a previous ASIAN versions of DDR.
A green song is newly introduced in DDR 4thMIX ASIAN VERSION.
A yellow song is a song unlocked by the arcade operator with a special password.

Speaking of UNLOCKABLE PASSWORDS, we try the codes from DDR 4thMIX JAPANESE version unfortunately it DOESN'T work for this version.

DDR 3rdMIX ASIAN VERSION:
Comparing to the Japanese version 3rdMIX, Asian version 3rdMIX has many songs missing:
-> “LOVE” from DDR 2ndMIX LINK VERSION (Japan)
-> “Stomp to my beat” in DDR 2ndMIX (Japan)
-> “TUBTHUMPING” in DDR 2ndMIX LINK VERSION (Japan)
-> “GET UP (BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER)” from DDR 3rdMIX
-> “GET UP AND DANCE” from DDR 3rdMIX (Japan)
-> “IF YOU CAN SAY GOODBYE” in DDR 3rdMIX (Japan)
-> “XANADU” in DDR 3rdMIX (Japan)

Also in the “MEDIUM MODE”, the SINGLE BASIC steps of the song “UPSIDE DOWN” (Lv.1 footer) in the Asian Version are different to the Japanese version (which is Lv.3 footer). DDRFREAK staff, pls update it. if you don't have the stepcharts to update, i can provide one. I'll post the steps later on.

Comparing to the Japanese version 4thMIX, Asian version 4thMIX has many songs missing:

-> “GET UP AND DANCE” from DDR 3rdMIX (Japan)
-> The 7 “Korean Dance music” from DDR 3rdMIX PLUS (Japan)

Asian version 4thMIX has featured “NEW!” songs although in Japanese version is OLD songs already (meaning these are also missing songs in DDR 3rdMIX ASIAN VERSION).

Oh wow that's some pretty interesting information, the little subtle differences that the Asian mixes have compared to the Japanese ones.

hehehe, there are only two of them however, then why not..

If the warning screen says "THIS GAME IS FOR SALE AND USE IN JAPAN ONLY..." then congrats! For this is a true Japanese 4thMIX. with a complete song included, there are 136 songs in total.

If the warning screen says "THIS GAME IS FOR SALE AND USE IN HONGKONG, TAIWAN, MACAO, THAILAND, SINGAPORE, KOREA, INDONESIA, PHILIPPINES..." then your machine is truly ghetto for it's an asian 4thMIX. Not only are there songs missing from the real Japanese version but there are 0 Korean songs as well. 10 missing songs from the real japanese version so there are only 126 songs in total.

How about the "DDR 1st" hmmmm...
