Most phpBB boards have something at the bottom of the Board Index that shows whos online, and how many people are invisible, and how many guests there are and stuff. And most phpBB boards have something at the top of each board that shows how many people are viewing that board (For example, if me, and 3 other people were in the Site Feedback board at the same time, all our usernames would be listed at the top).
Why don't these boards have either of those features? |

They're there, just hidden.

View another php forum, find a feature you think is "hidden" and just re-type the URL here to access it.
As for the other things, bitch at the admins. It's their choice as to how they want to run things. |

We took them out to reduce the database impact a few years ago, and haven't really felt a great need to put them back.

EDIT: Cool I have the 431st highest postcount. |

It's not something we're terribly concerned about letting people look at easily. If they find out, big whoop...but knowing your postcount rank gives some users the impetus to postwhore just for the sake of being one of the "top posters" in some misguided belief that their penis-size is directly linked to their Internet celebrity status.
