in over my head...

I'm really freaking out right now. I bought all my plywood, sheet metal, plexiglass, and all that other good stuff, but now I don't have a clue on how to build

Do I need to arrange my 2x4's so that my 33" x 33" base has 9 11x11 squares or is there more to it than that? I understand how to make the 5 non-arrow panels, but I have no clue as to what I need for the sensors. Do I need to have more conductive sheet metal?

I'm following RipTide's design (or trying to at least) if that helps.

I think I'm good with the 2x4 thing, but if you have any last minute advice I would greatly appreciate it

I'm going into school from 9AM-2PM tomorrow even though I'm on vacation to work on my pad. I've only been able to cut the plywood into the base and 5 wood panels, so my teacher and I decided to get to work finally.

If there's anything you had to figure out for yourself or improvise on let me know. I'll be following RipTide's videos and website the whole way. Again, you did an AMAZING job on your pad, I hope you get that little static problem fixed up

last minute advise...
hmmm

PUT IN ARROW SUPPORTS in the center of the panels..

like its a sqaure, then a block in the center to help support the plexiglass

and um..MAKE SURE THE CONTACT SYSTEM U USE ACTUALLY WORKS!
god, ive tried FIVE different ways, all variations of one person or anothers idea, and they just wont work

id try just to follow the video guides ALL THE WAY...unless u go for the control box instead of buttons on the pad, like me and marq did..

LOL, I got owned in the shop today, I kind of ran into a brick wall

I have the 5 non-arrow panels all good and covered in sheet metal, but now i'm kind of lost. I have the 4 2x4's running across the lengths of the pad, but I haven't fastened anything down yet. Should I screw the panels into the 2x4's then screw the 2x4's into the plywood, or should I wait until later?

Next, I'm not sure wtf to do with the supports. When I lay out the 5 panels, I can see that there is a little bit more wood on one side than there is on the other. I have a 6.25 inch gap between by 2x4's, so I cut 6.25 inch lengths from extra 2x4's but those seem to be too thick, do I need to cut those in half?

Lastly, why do I need to cut the corners of the plexiglass? Do I do this just for the bottom layer, just the top, or for both? I need to find a good picture of what an arrow panel looks like from each layer. I also have no idea wtf those .75" plywood triangles are needed for.

I know this is a lot, but if either of you guys can help me out I'd be in heaven. For now i'll have to watch those videos again

To answer your last question, I believe the plywood triangles are what the metal corner braces will be screwed into. When this is done, there will no longer be room for perfect square plaxiglass arrows, so you'll have to trim the corners to fit within the plywood triangles. You'll need to do this for both layers.
