The extra arrows in Jumps and Hands are also steps, considering that you do have to step on another arrow panel to hit another arrow. _________________

Not according to the game, they aren't.
Jumps count as one step. _________________

I brought up a point that longer songs (ITG 1) have more steps than shorter ones (ITG 2), thus meaning 600 steps is now rare for a 10 footer (only 4 ITG 2 songs have at least 600 steps). It was mentioned that HotN had 898 steps partly because of its length, but then there's an argument about whether the song has nearly 1000 steps, based on how many steps a jump counts for, 2 or 1. With that said, people are still clearly getting too off-topic and should return to this thread's real purpose. _________________

To clear things up, I've been recently playing SM more often, you know, the game where they count tap steps as max combo?
Sorry for the confusion, but I was indeed talking about max combo, and HotN's max combo is very close to 1000.
Someone said Bloodrush has that giant hold: This is true, but HotN has a long hold spot of dead time as well. Actually why am I arguing that, Bloodrush is a shorter song by like 10 seconds. That's all I was saying.
Ok, back to thread....
ITG2 10's are weird and thus hard to rank. You have songs like Twilight, Visible Noise, Sweet World...I mean sure, they're really fun, but they're so unique that they are hard to put up against more "regular" songs in a certain way. Yes, Know Your Enemy and Soapy Bubble are probably the hardest pass wise, but songs like Sweet World should not be thrown out due to its massive scoring element.
ITG1 10's seem so much easier o rank for me, but maybe that's because I'm more familiar. _________________

We can rank things separately for passing and scoring. _________________

"Determinator" can be BSed, so no real surprise there either. Marquistadorous probably didn't score too well, though.
"Go 60 Go" is no surprise either, but his score probably wasn't too good there.
"Summer -Speedy Mix-" is not that confusing. I don't see what's so wrong here.
I could definitely see "Soapy Bubble" as being more confusing than any of those (except if you want to FA "Go 60 Go"), and thus as harder to pass, assuming you have the stamina.
If he had said that he passed "VerTex^2" first try, then I would be very skeptical.
ANYWAYS... |
lol. you're right, I didn't score too well on determinator (or the other songs for that matter ) . But I swear I did pass those first try. But soappy bubble was like my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd song of the day. I did the harder songs later on when I was warmed up. The odd turns killed me on soappy bubble and I didn't know what to expect. And as for the harder songs I had seen videos of each of them like once or twice, but that's it. So I knew what I was getting myself into before I started the songs. I'm one of those people who's good at passing and endurance and speed (on some days), but my scoring and FA isn't always the best. Oh, and by the way, I DID pass vertex^2 first try. It was very easy... lol jk ( I got u for a second didn't I ). I've tried vertex^2 once, and I died somewhere from 20 to 30%. _________________

If you have stamina, and a lot of it, a GOOD portion of the game becomes pretty easily passable.
Songs with a lot of quick steps, but no technicality like: July, Xuxa, Destiny, Delirium, Summer, etc., suddenly aren't that hard anymore. D. Hyper as a 10 is also one of them, I don't see how people think it's that hard.
1.) Soapy Bubble (Nubs fail like woah)
2.) Sweet World (Also tricky to do well)
3.) Bouff (Little bit of everything) |

| I consider jumps technical when used in a mannar like Pandemonium or Tell expert, those are difficult. They do make a song harder, but turns and crossover streams are much much worse. |

Temple of Boom
Hybrid
Oasis
Agent Blatant
Energizer Hard
Vorsprung Durch -Techno-
Vertex Hard
Wana Do
Visible Noise
Do U Love Me
Summer in Belize
Out of the Dark
Sunshine
Walking on Fire
Bouff
Hillbilly Hardcore
Soapy Bubble
Sweet World
Disconnected ~Hyper Mix~

"Do U Love Me" is REALLY easy to pass, especially if you don't try too hard on the WTF?!-32nds.
"Hybrid" is very linear, and if you have the stamina to do 8ths at 185 with an occasional set of three 16ths, then it is also easy to pass. The 16ths near the ending are BSable, of course. _________________

Yea that was said basically right after people played it. To be honest I don't think it's all that difficult, if you are a doubles player. Everyone else has issues with it though.
On a side note, Carl's Jr. makes a pretty good Double Western. _________________

I actually know what you mean with that. Most people have troubles with Disconnected Disco Expert Doubles, but it sems to click with you, or at least provide no major difficulties.
That's the exact same thing with me and Hardcore Symphony. Everyone here is like "Holy crap!11!! Itz a 12! I can't do it!"
I'm like "Ok, that was what all the hype was about?"
It is an 1, but most people run around like chickens with their heads cut off when they think about it.
(Reminds me of Cartoon Heroes with DDR)
Anyways, Tension is my vote for all around technicality and difficulty. _________________

HS is a 12, thats why I can nearly doublestar it -_-
I like Tension, it was one of my first stars at all on ITG. I don't think it is a difficult 10 at all _________________
