err...well juunana is 17, but I'm pretty sure the song was 17sai with the sai kanji. I used to have the music video, but i deleted it awhile back. _________________

It's a cover of the original Jackson 5 tune, yes. Definitely not MJ on the mic. *heh*

The hook is sampled from "Celebrate" by Kool & the Gang... that's why it's so damn catchy/recognized. _________________

That is what I was wondering too. After listening to the Jackson 5 one and the DDR one, it just sounds odd. Thank you though Mel B.
P.S. Michael Jackson Forever! |

She does covers for Dancemania (I think, if it's not an original.), and some Dancemania songs are used in DDR. They have a spinny logo that says Dancemania *insert version here* on the title banner. _________________

(V is a remix of Winter by Antonio Vivaldi, BTW.) |

Well, I'll be damned. I always thought the vocals sounded kind of similar, but I guess it's the sped up tracks from the Dancemania Speed series that distort the vocals just enough to make them sound different.
And is that still Rene Dif doing the extremely deep male vocals, or is it some other guy?

Actually, it's from the second season Lupin III series, which was broadcast in 1978. (Hence, the '78 that gets tagged onto all remixes using that theme.) It's the same show that's airing on Adult Swim right now.
Lessee. Bus Stop is a cover band ("Kung Fu Fighting" is Carl Douglas; "Kick the Can" is based off of the Can Can song--forget its real name; "One Two" is obviously based off of "Little Bitch"; "Na-Na" is based on a real old song whose name I don't know; "Long Train Runnin'" is a song--think it's the same name--by the Doobie Brothers), X-Treme is a cover band ("My Fire" is based on "Relight My Fire" by Take That; "Wonderland" is "Boogie Wonderland" by EWF)...
Can't think of any others offhand. Someone did mention CapJack's remix of The Village People's "In the Navy..."
Surprised nobody's mentioned Strictly Business yet, which has samples from Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff". It's a legit song in its own right, though. _________________

Tubthumping (in DDR) wasn't a cover. Chumbawumba's version was used on DDR. Unless that song is a remake of something before that.

Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye) by Steam is where the hook came from.

Tenth Planet are the original artist. Vincent De Moor did the remixed version that we have heard in DDRMAX and Dancemania. the Ghosts' banner shows proof of that it.
Miracle was originally done by Culture Club. |

Get Up and Dance was taken from the song of the same name...forgot the real artist's name though. That song can be found on a lot of b-boy vids though.
