I wouldn't mind a scoring system that offered some slack like this. It's hard enough to FC a song I've played a thirty times before, and still get a measly A on it. I've never even got to the "Extra Stage" yet. Bah!

I hated the ruthless scoring system on Konamix. DDR Max is better, even though (yes) FC should not necessarily mean AA.

My PA sucks in the arcade. Just beat Nearly=130 for the first time last night (finally!) and got 85.3% or so.

ok. Since you said on the songs...........

Cotton Eye Joe - I'm sorry, no one have a right to call Crash a crapy song after hearing this. Ok, I don't have to go into the rest of the song list.

2. Cotton-Eye Joe. Especially this one. If I hear one more preppygirl play either this song or the previously-listed one on beginner THREE TIMES IN A DAMN ROW, I will be more than happy to demonstrate the concept of justifiable homicide.

Got you there already. ^_^

One other thing I don't like about EuroMix, now that I think about it, is that both people have to choose the same difficulty. That gets kind of annoying, until you discover six-option.

Next....Songs ratings........80% of the songs or either 6 or 7 on heavy

Which still leaves 20% of songs which are catas. One out of five ain't that bad, is it?

And, since I'm a complete prick who doesn't like pulling numbers out of my behind, I'd like to point out that, in fact, it's more like 30%. Which means almost one out of every three songs on there are catas.

AND, if you count eight-footers (since you mentioned 80% of the songs are either 6 or 7 on heavy), it goes up to 50%, which means that every other song on EuroMix 2 has at least an eight-foot difficulty on heavy. Yes, including some of the EuroMix Originals, so if someone is actually insane enough to play Aaron's Party, yet good enough to pass exorbitants, they can have their fun if they want.

Have you notice that all the songs you just put down are from 6th mix, and you didn't put down not one Euromix originals.

Well, I was gonna write Tsugaru, Spin the Disc, and Vanity Angel, as well, but I figure that would've been overkill on the list when you get the idea.

You'll also note I don't care about the Euromix originals; I'm defending EuroMix 2, the arcade machine. But yeah, with the exception of a couple holdovers from Beatmania, a couple Smile.dk songs, and Strictly Business, this machine pretty much contains all the songs I like.

That's basically the samething what you just said.

Same thing I just said where?

If it's harder to get a Perfect on Euromix, and he was able to AA MAX300, he should have no problem AA it on EX. That's what you're saying right?

That's what I said, but again, I said it's doubtful they tweaked the perfect windows. Just a reminder that there might be some things we don't know about. If they tweaked the scoring system, who knows what else they tweaked with in the meantime?

I'd be bashing Konamix for effectively making it so that the only scores Joe Decent DDR Player will get are B's or C's.

The Konamix thing............the only reason why it was like that, because the score system is from 4th mix.

Doesn't stop it from being a Really Bad scoring system.

Oh, and completely random OT: How the heck did those J's end up preceding every one of those quotes from me? >_>

My mind's going all over the place right now. To sum up: 1. This guy still managed to do at LEAST decently on Max300. Maybe it ain't an accomplishment to you guys, but to people like me who aren't that good yet, I respect what he's done. And 2. The scores don't make the game. If they did, I'd be bashing Konamix for effectively making it so that the only scores Joe Decent DDR Player will get are B's or C's.

I wasn't trying belittle the player. I mean he looks to be a decent player who can at manage at least an A on max300. I know there are many ppl who can't do that. But that doesn't change the fact that the scoring system is really really lenient on those machines compared to the latest japanese mixes (max1/2 and extreme). But to get an AA on any song with all of those non-combo steps 9 misses, 3 boos and 5 goods is just ridiculous. I mean even on the freeze heavy Maxx Unlimited if he had those non-combo steps he wouldn't be able to AA the song even if he had all of the rest of the steps perfects and hit all of the freezes.

And don't tell me that this guy getting an AA when he should've gotten an A by any means turns him into a crap player. Why bother belittling his accomplishment? I doubt a lot of the posters here could do what he did. I'm still striving to pass it myself, as listed above.

Like I said I am not belittling the player, just the crap/very lenient scoring system. Well I can't speak for anybody else, but as for that last sentence....me
