No, not excactly, esp. the songs included and the INFORMATION MODE is in ENGLISH not in JAPANESE.
But the unlockable password, the 12 hidden songs and the process of unlocking are the same. |

That doesn't affect Link Data.
Believe me - I know what Link Data's all about. I wrote the FAQ on it.

| It will affect the songs in NONSTOP ORDER, as you can see my sreenshots about the ARCADE LINK, "Get me in your sight [AMD CANCUN MIX]" in japan ver 4thMIX LINK is in MUSIC #136 while in ASIAN 4thMIX LINK is in MUSIC #126 only. |

So? The 4th Mix Link Data will still work, even if it's not programmed with a perfectly accurate songlist. The game should still load in the proper songIDs, which means that while yes, you are getting a specialized file from the machine, you're still perfectly fine using the Japanese 4th Mix file. It has more songs, but it should still work.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to have the specific file uploaded though, in case someone was crazy enough to download the Japanese Link Data and then try to play a song on the machine that was disabled. You have a DexDrive or what?
