-When you've owned about four or five foam pads over the past four years - all of which you broke - and, when you realize the PS2 is now a last-gen console and that peripherals are going to be phased out for it and that THAT means the foam pads you prefer are eventually not going to be made anymore, you break down and buy that Cobalt Flux with the idea of having something sturdy and repairable in all the years to come. This, despite the fact that you've occasionally gone months at a time where you lost interest in DDR - you always came back to it.
