| Would it be possible to have the stepfiles available as a download instead of just a PNG? That'd be a lot more convenient (for me, at least), than trying to hand-code a PNG auto-genned from an existing simfile... Wouldn't a simfile be smaller in filesize than a PNG? (I haven't checked the size, but I'd think it would be...) |

So why does it distribute the steps?
I meant when I said "export" getting the stepfile only (a text-based dwi or sm). I don't see how getting the steps in a text format violates copyrights more than getting steps in an image format, except that they're slightly more usable. (And doesn't the backend actually use simfiles anyway...?) |

DDR freak has explicit permission to post the step file images form konami
DDRfrerak does not have permision to distribute simfiles or text files continaint konamis intelectual property

Ok, well, thanks for the information about the explicit permission. I didn't know about that. I don't see how putting it in a usable format would be different, but I guess that's life. :| |
