I've recently started playing Doubles at home and I can do a few 7 footers now, but I have one metal pad and one POS flimsy pad and it's so hard to do jumps when I need both pads because my flimsy one always slides away and I hit X or triangle. I've tried taping it but that doesn't work either. I don't want to nail it because the sensors are in all the wrong place and I'm afraid the arrows might be constantly registering steps when I'm not on it. Does anyone know what I can do to make it easier to cross from one pad to the other or use both pads at the same time so I don't fall down going from one height to the other. _________________

Either use the softpad mod on the pad, using a wooden board, plastic floor covering, etc. Or just buy a new pad. |

A) Buy a new pad
or cheaper option B) Buy a piece of plywood thats 33x35ish and duct tape the crap around the edges of your soft pad to the board. The plywood should be heavy to reduce slipping, but maybe try taping the metal pad and the plywood so the tape goes around both pads together. Maybe that'll work? _________________

LOL! Plenty of my friends have done this mod and although it is very playable it is still a soft pad which means it will die much sooner than any metal pad(although this process will not happen as soon as on a traditional soft pad) and isnt as comfortable. But then again, that may just be because im used to my afterburner |
