I mean, the authors of them have great taste in songs to do, but their stepcharting almost indefinately SUCKS! Just got done messing with Otaku's Dream Mix #1, and really - how *do* these mixes get like that?

The BPM's are usually completely static between all of the songs, the "pattern work" looks like it was done with a person's tongue... and every chart is either snore-inducing (and overlooped) or ridiculously overpacked.

*Is there some rare exception to this common fiasco, that I'm just not aware of?

I was thinking the same thing. Stepcharts have almost no structure.
