I mean, seriously. All of us screw up and post something in the wrong forum sometimes...would it be that bloody hard to move something from, say, Gameplay to Console Games, instead of simply closing it?

There have already been multiple threads regarding the issue of locking posts as opposed to moving them. Please read those threads. The staff makes it pretty clear that they do not intend to change their ways.
